Email Marketing Specialist
Contract Opportunity
Tempe, AZ (local candidates only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and champion experiences to generate leads from online and offline funnels
  • Create and manage triggered marketing journeys from lead capture to conversion, primarily behavioral email journeys and retargeting.
  • Manage the production process through briefs, creative, legal review, site launch, and measurement
  • Optimize lead capture and marketing by A/B testing contact frequency, timing, copy, creative, pricing, etc.
  • Oversee campaign measurement: create promotion codes, links/URLs, and telephone numbers
  • Responsible for quality assurance, ensuring campaigns are consistent, free of errors, brand compliant, and measurable.
  • Engage management and key stakeholders on project status, KPI performance vs. plan, testing results, potential performance risks and identified growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics to track, measure, and analyze performance of marketing programs and make campaign optimization recommendations.
  • Work with third-parties and vendors to help grow audiences through data hygiene, email capture tactics, and new partnerships and integrations, including browse abandon campaigns
  • Assist Manager with additional projects as needed.
  • Approximately <10% travel required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required
  • A “do-er” and self-starter with ability to prioritize and clearly communicate
  • Minimum 4 years email marketing or digital lead generation experience
  • Knowledge of direct marketing testing/optimization methods with strong analytics-driven decision making
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage and execute a wide variety of projects simultaneously
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong data and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of database structures/feeds/usage – to drive campaign execution
  • Experience with Marketing Automation Campaign tools (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Responsys, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Marketo, etc.) preferred
  • Basic knowledge of program management tools preferred (JIRA, Workamajig, Wrike, Trello, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of email, HTML, digital & social marketing technical tools/systems/processes preferred
