Summary of Project:
The Portfolio Management Office Analyst position will govern and manage of the GOM IT project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead GOM IT portfolio governance for the project portfolio; collaborates with IT leadership, architects, business functions, and planner to develop a 3 yr plan
  • Partners with planner to provide project portfolio financial oversight and identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Drives efficiencies and improves PMO processes and financial oversight
  • Manages project portfolio with a comprehensive view of IT investments based on strong business case that includes benefits realization and total cost of ownership
  • Consults with the Project & Technical Delivery team leads as needed to ensure accurate portfolio reporting and financial management
  • Facilitates project execution lookbacks to improve project execution and value capture
  • Leads benefits realization measuring and tracking for all projects

Required Experience (5-7 years):
1. Portfolio Management Experience:

  • Managed large project portfolio management (~$40MM)
  • Develops portfolio plans for multi-year and/or multi-functional projects
  • Portfolio/project estimating and reporting experience

Management of Policy 564 compliance
2. Program Governance Experience:

  • Facilitates project portfolio decision making
  • Influences project execution improvement
  • Experience in Project Assurance Reviews, Peer Assist, Lookbacks (Execution/Value)

3. Relationship Management:

  • Influences across a broad range of IT and business functions to drive decisions and results
  • Understands business requirements to define IT direction
  • Establishes formal and informal relationships to enable business results

4. Leadership:

  • Influences across an IT organization to drive results
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills; tailors reporting
  • Strong influencing skills to aid quality portfolio execution
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and drive results
